About Us
Greetings from the representative

Kashima Nada, which connects the vast ocean with eastern Japan, is a blessed area where the Kuroshio Current and the Oyashio Current meet, and where abundant fish are landed throughout the four seasons, even in Japan, a maritime nation surrounded by the sea. It has also been bustling as a key point of maritime traffic, with a constant stream of ocean-going ships, domestic ships, fishing boats, work boats, and other vessels. The strong waves that crash against the coastline, which stretches about 170 km, make it known as a difficult spot for ships to navigate.
Our company was founded in 1972 under the name Mikuniya Salvage Co., Ltd. in this area, which is also the logistics hub of eastern Japan. We focused on salvage work, such as the salvage and removal of wrecked ships and the prevention of marine pollution. Using our specialized techniques, we have also been involved in port construction and waterside work on rivers and lakes. With the guidance of many people, we have accumulated a wide range of experience and grown together with the development of Japan's seas and ports.
In 1996, in order to make better use of the experience we had gained in this specialized business, we changed our company name to "Mikuni-ya Construction Co., Ltd." and shifted our focus from salvage to marine construction. We have offices in various parts of the Kanto and Tohoku regions, and with over 8 company-owned ships and over 100 in-house divers, we aim for all employees to become "water craftsmen" based on our mobility and technical capabilities. As a company of craftsmen who "build the sea" on and under the sea in every corner of the country, and as a strong disaster prevention company that "protects the sea" in the event of an unforeseen disaster, we will strive to contribute to the local community and even society. By practicing "pointing and calling," and putting "safety first," we will strive to be of service to our customers as much as possible, with the goal of "providing better products" to "all customers" without waste and within the construction period. We appreciate your patronage.
"100 working boats and a group of sea craftsmen"
